What is Kali Linux?
Kali Linux is a Debian-based Linux distribution aimed at advanced Penetration Testing and Security Auditing. Kali contains several hundred tools that are geared toward various information security tasks, such as Penetration Testing, Security Research, Computer Forensics, and Reverse Engineering. Kali Linux was first released on March 13, 2013.
Currently installing Kali Linux on most of the Hypervisors is supported. The supported Hypervisors are as follows :
Hyper-V, VMWare, Parallels, Vagrant, Oracle VirtualBox, and UTM as Guest VM. Also, you can make Kali Linux the hypervisor host in VMWare and Oracle VirtualBox.
